Baa, baa, brown sheep, come on over to my house!
There’s this delightful etsy shop called Motley Mutton, and the artist creates wonderful needlefelted animals. I’ve been stalking…er…watching for awhile now and finally found a friend of my own. This is Isla, and she’s a lovely little sheep. :D
Nancy makes the animals so they sit on satin cords so you can wear your new friend as jewelry if you like…or hang as an ornament.
It would be simple enough to remove her from the cord to use in a miniature scene, too.

Roland and Sanford absconded with the cannon from Bill. They also raided the spice cabinet for mustard seeds.
When I found them, I tried to explain that it was rude to launch mustard seeds at unsuspecting boaters from the breakwater. :\ I don’t think they understood. :D

Hugo is a European badger, Grahame’s cousin.
Hugo was made by Steve Panner, the same artisan who made Roland Sneakypants and Sanford. Grahame was made by *Reve*.
Too stinkin’ cute!

May 2, 2014 | 0 commentsPuppy want to go for a walk?!!
This delightful Australian Shepherd is by by Michal Gvir, and I’ve named him Sherwood.
He’s a good boy!
Ready to go on a road trip!
I picked up a great Heidi Ott lead from S P Miniatures. :D
I don’t know if it was meant to be in use, but I poked two additional holes in the strap, loosened the leather keeper loop and fastened it in place. Now Sherwood is all ready to go!

April 27, 2014 | 0 commentsDouble trouble…or the rest of the story
Yesterday’s post.
Roland ponders, “Hmm…what’s this?”
Sanford asks, “What’s up there?” Roland replies, “Muffins and cookies.”
Sanford warns, “Be careful. Don’t fall.”
Roland says, “Pffft. I got this!”
Sanford whispers, “Someone’s coming…hurry up!”
I swear there were more muffins and cookies. Huh.

March 27, 2014 | 0 commentsNew kitchen minis
I recently purchased some lovely kitchen minis from LugArt Petit on etsy. They are unique and beautifully made.
A mini soap dispenser.
A lovely tea canister.
Tiny dessert cups…so awesome. :D
A cute oven mitt with pine trees.
Tiny muffins on a flower plate.
A canister with a removable lid that holds tiny chocolate cream filled cookies. :D
I think this calls for a full miniature set-up…time to dig through the boxes of minis. Be right back…

March 26, 2014 | 0 commentsViolet
This adorable kitty doll is from Mirianata. I found a picture of a kitty doll I liked, but it had been sold. I spent some time going through the past and present listings. I contacted the artist and requested a kitty doll of my own. She was very busy with orders (no surprise) and said it would be some time. I would wait.
Miriana wrote to me awhile later to let me know my kitty was ready. :D
I’ve named her Violet. I was impatient during her journey from overseas, but she was more than worth the wait.
Too cute! :D

March 21, 2014 | 0 commentsSanford, the red fox
Sanford the red fox is a fine miniature made by Steve Panner, the same artisan who made Roland Sneakypants. :D
Again, Steve has created a beautiful animal with soft fur and an inquisitive expression.
The name is derived from a 1970s American sitcom called Sanford and Son. One of the show’s stars was Redd Foxx. See what I did there? :D
Sanford will be a traveler just like Roland. Oh, yeah…this combination isn’t going to lead to any mischief whatsoever. :O

March 18, 2014 | 0 commentsRoland Sneakypants
How’s that for a name?!! :D
Roland the raccoon is a fine miniature made by Steve Panner. Steve has been doing miniatures only a short time, but you’d never know it. The work is remarkable.
Get out of the trash, Roland. I’ll make you a sandwich.
Roland is the perfect city animal for The Brownstone, though I am sure he’ll be well traveled. Here he is sneaking about Baslow Ranch.
At The Aero Squadron Lounge. Roland’s wool fur is so soft. He has the perfect stance and face…too stinkin’ cute!
I’ve been waiting a long time to find a really well done raccoon in mini, and none spoke to me the way Roland did. I’m so glad he’s mine! :D
Seriously, I’ll make you a sandwich…just hold your horses!
Here’s a fun video showing a real life raccoon sneakypants! :D

March 10, 2014 | 0 commentsArcher
Yeah, so I went a little *Reve* crazy this week. :D
I’ve named this delightful squirrel Archer.
I do so love his rosy cheeks! I raided Sydney’s hamster chow for a “nut” to use in the scene.
I made the topiaries a long time ago, and the foliage has faded. I will remake these someday. The patio set was bought on eBay a long time ago as well, and the leaves are from the bunch I made for the Heritage.
The table and chairs are a little small for 1:12 scale, but they work well here. I’ve seen the cast iron patio sets in real life that are smaller than you would think. When I get around to using these, I will spray paint them for a more authentic look. They have no manufacturer markings, unfortunately, so I don’t know where they originated. I do love the shape of them.

January 11, 2014 | 0 commentsSleeping mice
In addition to some other nice gifts, mom gave me a wonderful set of needle felted mice from Rustles from the Meadow. I just love Johana’s animals.
They have their own little bed to snuggle in and keep warm.
Don’t they look like they are having the best dreams?! :D
They are fully formed mice, too! You bend the tails and feet to balance them for standing alone.
Hmm…I might have to make some robes.

Not all ghosts are scary…
I’m feeling sentimental this Halloween, and this lovely kitty cat has a lot to do with it. Halo is a beautiful creation by Maya Schippl.
Halo reminds me not only of cats from my past, but all the precious pets that have come and gone, each special in their own way. Perhaps this Halloween we will each be granted a visit from our beloved animals who live on in our hearts, and the treats we enjoy will remind us of sweet memories. :] Happy Halloween!

This adorable meow is Finn. He apparently wandered into Half Clocked and fell asleep when work ceased for the evening. :D
He is made by JMDS.
I won’t wake him right now, but this evening he will have to move so I can continue my work. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Woodrow is busy looking for signs of spring on this cold Groundhog Day, and I think he’s found something! Fingers crossed for an early Spring!!! Actually, I’d even settle for a temperature consistently out of the holy-crap-it’s-bitter range. :\

This is Auguste, and he is as cute as a button. :D
Auguste is a clever hedgehog made by A. Gabriela Z. Rodriguez of agzr*studios.
She included a strawberry house and food bowl. I love the strawberry especially. It’s the perfect hideout and makes me want to build a blanket fort for myself! :D

August 1, 2017 | 0 commentsHappy Groundhog Day 2017
According to legend, if the groundhog sees his shadow on this day, there will be six more weeks of winter. If he doesn’t, then there will be an early spring. Since it’s a bright sunny morning here, I am distracting Woodrow with cake! :D Happy Groundhog Day!
