  • Roland Sneakypants

    How’s that for a name?!!  :D

Roland the raccoon is a fine miniature made by Steve Panner. Steve has been doing miniatures only a short time, but you’d never know it. The work is remarkable.

Get out of the trash, Roland. I’ll make you a sandwich.

Roland is the perfect city animal for The Brownstone, though I am sure he’ll be well traveled. Here he is sneaking about Baslow Ranch.

At The Aero Squadron Lounge. Roland’s wool fur is so soft. He has the perfect stance and face…too stinkin’ cute!

I’ve been waiting a long time to find a really well done raccoon in mini, and none spoke to me the way Roland did. I’m so glad he’s mine! :D

Seriously, I’ll make you a sandwich…just hold your horses!

Here’s a fun video showing a real life raccoon sneakypants! :D

  • Archer

Yeah, so I went a little *Reve* crazy this week. :D

I’ve named this delightful squirrel Archer.

I do so love his rosy cheeks! I raided Sydney’s hamster chow for a “nut” to use in the scene.

I made the topiaries a long time ago, and the foliage has faded. I will remake these someday. The patio set was bought on eBay a long time ago as well, and the leaves are from the bunch I made for the Heritage.

The table and chairs are a little small for 1:12 scale, but they work well here. I’ve seen the cast iron patio sets in real life that are smaller than you would think. When I get around to using these, I will spray paint them for a more authentic look. They have no manufacturer markings, unfortunately, so I don’t know where they originated. I do love the shape of them.

  • Sleeping mice

In addition to some other nice gifts, mom gave me a wonderful set of needle felted mice from Rustles from the Meadow. I just love Johana’s animals.

They have their own little bed to snuggle in and keep warm.

Don’t they look like they are having the best dreams?!  :D

They are fully formed mice, too! You bend the tails and feet to balance them for standing alone.

Hmm…I might have to make some robes.

  • The Delightful Mr. Rat

The other day, etsy was a dangerous place to be. I fell in love! =swoon=

Mr. Rat is a beautifully handmade character from Candyfleece in the UK.

His arms, legs and tail are poseable so he can stand on his own and hold items in his arms.

He comes with a needle-felted pumpkin, but he could easily hold other items for the changing seasons.

While not in 1:12 scale, I couldn’t resist adding him to my collection of interesting and fun items.

  • From the sea, over the sea…all for me!!!

Look at the adorable sea otter plush Marion sent to me!!! :D He’s so well made and soft, standing at 2 7/8″ tall.

    He’s poseable, too!

Here he is admiring his snazzy tie in the mirror. Of course I’ve named him Seymour.

He makes me smile. He was meant for the Heritage attic, but he might have to get his own abode some day. :D

I’m so overjoyed, Marion!!! Thank you so much for your beautiful gift and your wonderful friendship! Be sure to check out Marion’s miniature rooms, though she’s had to put them on hold for awhile.
